Louise Giesbrecht, BA., CHRP

Louise GiesbrechtLouise’s years managing the HR function and then the corporate diversity program for a large Canadian manufacturer were opportunities to test and develop significant recruitment and retention programs.  One of those programs was recognized by the  Conference Board of Canada award for innovative processes in training and development.

Louise built strategic alliances between divisional management, sharing knowledge and expertise which led to more consistency in the implementation of HR initiatives and programs.  The introduction of a new performance management program requiring training for all plant leadership and personnel,  significantly increased employee engagement.

As Employment Equity Officer at the University of Manitoba she built significant relationships influencing change to support Federal Contract Program goals and Faculty Accreditation.   Louise developed a comprehensive diversity recruitment manual and tool kit  used by all faculty leadership to ensure appropriate and defensible hiring.

Her extensive mentorship experience encompassing leadership on manufacturing shop floors to deans and directors and senior faculty members  has given her keen insights into the issues and challenges at all levels of leadership.

She has spoken at conferences, seminars and particularly enjoys the energy that is exchanged while facilitating workshops.
